[origin: DE19546720A1] The invention concerns a powder-dusting arrangement (4) which, within a printing press, applies a powder, e.g. of cornflour, to pre-dried printed products arriving from the printing unit. This arrangement comprises in a manner known per se a plurality of nozzles (6) which are charged with a mixture of powder and carrier air by a mixing arrangement (8). The nozzles (6) are disposed in the vicinity of the conveying plane defined by the printing press conveying system (1) and can be at two different spacings therefrom. Normally, the nozzles (6) are comparatively close to this conveying plane, and at such times the powder-carrier air mixture emerges from the nozzles (6) towards the printed products passing by. However, when a gripper arrangement (2), which is part of the conveying system (1) and holds the printed products firmly, approaches the nozzles (6), a corresponding control system (9 to 12) ensures that the nozzles move into a second position, in which there is sufficient space for the gripping arrangement (2) to pass between the underside of the nozzles (6) and the conveying plane of the conveying system (1).
