[origin: WO9625776A2] An electric connector (1) presenting an insulating casing (2) with a number of axial cavities (3); a number of electric terminals (4) housed in the cavities (3); primary retaining means (18) for retaining the terminals (4) inside the cavities (3); secondary retaining means (25) in turn presenting a first movable element (26) connectable in a closed position to the casing (2); and a second element (33) interposed between the first element (26) and the casing (2) and movable between a disabling position preventing connection of the connector (1) to a complementary connector (1'), and an enabling position permitting such connection; the first element (26) presenting a pair of cam tabs (31) cooperating with the second element (33) so as to move it into the enabling position when the first element (26) is in the closed position.
