Composite element comprises a flat steel element (4) and a flat hard metal element (1) as well as a connecting apparatus which connects the steel element with the hard metal element. The connecting apparatus comprises a first layer (3) connected to the hard metal element (1) and made of a first solder with a first melting point, a second layer (6) connected to the steel element (4) and made of a second solder with a second melting point, and a connecting body (7) made of hard metal in the form of hard metal spheres arranged between the two layers (3,6), the spheres partially embedded and the first layer (3) and the second layer (6). The melting point of the first solder is higher than that of the second solder. Production of the composite element is also claimed.

Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verbundelement und ein Verfahren zu dessen Herstellung. Das Verbundelement besteht aus einem Hartmetallelement 1 und einem Stahlelement 4 sowie Verbindungsmitteln. Diese umfassen eine mit dem Hartmetallelement 1 verbundene erste Schicht 3 aus einem ersten Lot, eine mit dem Stahlelement 4 verbundene zweite Schicht 6 aus einem zweiten Lot und Verbindungskörper 7 aus Hartmetallsplitt, die in beide Schichten 3, 6 jeweils teilweise eingebettet sind. Das die erste Schicht 3 bildende Lot weist einen höheren Schmelzpunkt als das die zweite Schicht 6 bildende Lot auf. Durch diese Verbindungsmittel wird eine innige Verbindung zwischen dem Hartmetallelement 1 und dem Stahlelement 4 erzielt, die auch hohen Beanspruchungen gerecht wird. <IMAGE>
