[origin: EP0810622A2] Production of a lamp (1) with an illuminating system (2), a vacuum-tight glass body as shell body (4), a holder (11) and leads (12) for the operation of the lamp comprises blowing passages (19) for the leads into the closed holder (11) to insert an open shell body (4) and simultaneously a winding or other closing apparatus as holder (11) to the other closed end of the shell body (4). With the aid of centering units (20) and feed units the illuminating system (2) is inserted into the shell body (4) and fixed. The leads (12) are fed in the holder to form contact sites and then fused to the shell body (4). Vacuum supports (6) is formed by heating and moulding to its open end. The lamp (1) is evacuated by sealing this vacuum support (6) after applying a suitable vacuum.
