[origin: EP0810693A1] The housing (1) has an annular groove in its front edge for part of a sealing ring (7) whose cross-section resembles a hook (3) turned inwards. The ring protrudes from the groove in the axial direction. The cover (4) of the housing and the shell (2) of the plug have bearing surfaces (10,11) shaped for contact with the ring when the cover is closed and when the plug is inserted, respectively.
