Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0810695A1] The housing (12) for plugging into a circuit board encloses an arrangement of contacts (13) having portions (38) for attachment to the cable with locking tabs (58,59) formed on the metallic strap (14). This extends around the cover (28) and the two sidewalls (26,27) of the housing, and has angle brackets (51,52) for soldering. Each end of the strap has a flap (e.g. 53) formed as an extension of its sidewall and projecting over the underside of the bracket.
