[origin: WO9626080A1] A catch device is disclosed for joining a window pane (1c) to a window lifter by means of at least one pair of elastically spreadable cheeks (31, 32). One of the cheeks (32) has at least one snap-on element (30) oriented towards the window pane (1c) and shaped as a hook, pin or the like associated to a hole (10) in the window pane (1c). An inserter spreads the cheeks (31, 32) when inserting the window pane (1c) into the snap-on device. In the locked state of the window pane (1c), the circumference of the snap-on element (30) fills the hole (10) in the window pane (1c) over at least part of the width of the snap-on element (30).
