Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0811427A2] The device comprises a hopper (1) from which the stone is dropped onto a supply conveyor (2) which feeds a stone crusher (3). The crushed stone is dropped onto an output conveyor (4) with the output flow rate monitored (5) either by weighing or simply by monitoring the height of material on the conveyor and the speed of the conveyor. A processor (8) computes the output rate and controls the input rate into the crusher to prevent overloading of the output conveyor. The loading rate into the crusher includes the time delay for material to pass through the crusher as well as the speed of the feed conveyor. The processor ensures an even output rate to prevent overloading of the conveyor system (7) to the processing plant.
