A thread supply unit (F) has a stationary storage drum (4) and at least one opto-electronic thread sensor (S) which comprises: at least one reflector (RF) fixed, with an exposed boundary area (19), in the drum surface (20) by a holder (H) and; an optical transmitter-receiver arrangement (7) located above the drum and directed at the reflector. The reflector with its bounding surface (19) can be set, from outside the drum, to two different levels (I, II) relative to the drum surface.

In einem Fadenliefergerät (F) mit einer stationären Speichertrommel und einem opto-elektronischen Fadensensor (S), der einen in der Speichertrommel (4) angeordneten, mit einer Haltevorrichtung (H) festgelegten Reflektor (RF) und eine Lichtquellen- und Empfängeranordnung (7) aufweist, wobei der Reflektor (RF) mit seiner Begrenzungsfläche (19) in unterschiedlichen Höhenlagen I, II positionierbar ist, ist die Haltevorrichtung (H) zum Positionieren des Reflektors (RF) von der Außenseite der Speichertrommel (4) her betätigbar. <IMAGE>
