Abstract (en)
The guide is used for one or more flexible elements (2) such as cables on the upper end of an articulated jib (6), e.g. of a trench cutter. The guide comprises a support (5) on the end of the jib to ensure the proper curvature of the flexible element and avoid damage to it. The support extends for a sufficient length to hold the flexible element up when the jib is in its highest position and is attached to the upper end of the jib by a first pivot (7) and to a rigid connector (11) by a second pivot (13). The rigid connector is articulated about an additional fixed pivot (12). The four pivots (7,10,12,13) of the support and jib are located at the four corners of an articulated parallelogram, so that the support holds its position as the jib moves. The support has a series of rollers with their axes parallel to one another and perpendicular to the axis of the flexible element(s). The rollers are located, when viewed from one side, along an arc of a circle.

Dispositif de guidage d'au moins un flexible à l'extrémité d'un mât articulé, comportant un organe-support agencé à l'extrémité du mât pour supporter le flexible en lui conférant une courbure propre à éviter toute cassure dudit flexible au moins en position basse du mât. L'organe-support s'étend sur une longueur suffisante pour supporter le flexible dans la position la plus haute du mât sans que ledit flexible se casse et est monté pivotant d'une part sur le mât autour d'un premier axe de pivotement (7) et d'autre part sur un moyen de liaison rigide autour d'un second axe de pivotement (13), ledit moyen de liaison rigide étant lui-même articulé autour d'un second axe d'articulation fixe (12), de manière à former un parallélogramme déformable de sorte que l'organe-support demeure parallèle à lui-même lors des mouvements du mât. <IMAGE>
