Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0812003A2] The short-wave infrared emitter has a twin parallel tube Ä2Ü of quartz glass. Within the parallel chambers are a pair of tungsten heating filaments Ä6,7Ü and these are supported in discs Ä8Ü that are spaced at uniform intervals along the tube. The ends of the filaments are looped Ä21,22Ü around a common contact pin Ä20Ü that is inserted transversely and sealed . At the other end the ends of the filaments are set into pins Ä11Ü having wires that are crimped into sealed metal couplings Ä14,15Ü.
