[origin: WO9630265A1] The invention concerns a machine for packaging groups of foodstuff discs, in particular biscuits, arranged on edge and closely adjacent one another. In order to adapt the device to various lengths of groups, the folding and sealing means are secured on support plates (20), the distance between which can be adjusted by at least three threaded spindles (34) in each case. The spindles (34), interconnected by a chain (38), are mounted in tubes (21) which are rigid with the housing and have a longitudinal slot (45). Screwed on to each thread (35, 36) is a nut (42), the nuts (42) being connected to the respective support plate (20) via a pin (43) projecting through the slot (45). The device is robust, of simple construction and permits rapid and easy adjustment.
