Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9628630A1] The hydraulic tubing machine can be used and is suitable as an attachment for prior art mobile rotary boring installations to take boring tubes in full rotation down to greater boring depths or through harder ground strata without the need for additional hydraulic auxiliary drive motors with a separate hydraulic drive system. When the torque transmitted by the power rotary head (14) directly to the boring tube (17) becomes insufficient, a drilling rod system or Kelly rod (22) of the rotary boring installation is engaged with the Kelly box (12) of the tubing machine and the torque of the Kelly rod is transformed by means of a power transmission drive (3) in the tubine machine into a multiple and transmitted to the boring tube (17). Any greater reaction forces generated thereby are transmitted from the tubing machine tot he installation's chassis (10). As a variant here, the torque can be transmitted to the Kelly box via an adapter secured to the power rotary head and a counter-adapter and it is also possible, independently thereof of in combination therewith to engage the torque of a hydraulic drive motor powered by the hydraulic system of the chassis running gear on an extension housing of the basic component with the power transmission drive.
