[origin: DE19547169A1] A fuel injection valve for internal combustion engines with a valve body (1), at the combustion chamber end of which there is a valve seat surface (9) against which a valve member permanently in relation to the valve body (1) bears under axial preloading by a valve sealing surface (11), with a pressure channel (7) passing longitudinally through the valve body and opening into a pressure chamber limited by the valve seat (9) and applied to the valve member in the opening direction and with at least one injection port into the combustion chamber of the engine to be supplied adjoining the valve seat surface (9) downstream. To provide a particularly simple construction, the valve member takes the form of a head piece (3) secured directly to the combustion chamber end of the valve body (1) and the face towards the valve body (1) of which forms the valve sealing surface (11).
