The climbing device comprises a grip tube (12) which is fixed on a cradle (1) in which a stop pawl (6) is located. The stop pawl, when the handgrip is inserted in the profile rail, works in conjunction with catchment devices (R) in the rear side of the profile rail (S) and permits a movement of the handgrip only in one direction. A releasable fixture device secures the handgrip in the profile rail and a device is provided for releasing the stop pawl and the fixture device. The grip tube is fixed to the stop pawl and on the cradle. The cradle has guide grooves on both sides which accommodate the guide lips (L) of the guide profile rail.

Die Steigvorrichtung dient zum Besteigen von Bauwerken, Hochspannungsmasten, Gittermasten und dergleichen längs einer Profilschiene (S) und umfaßt Steigschuhe und einen Handgriff, der mittels eines Schlittens (1) entlang der Profilschiene (S) geführt wird, wobei der Schlitten (1) Einrichtungen aufweist, die zusammen mit der Profilschiene (S) ein Gesperre bilden, das eine Bewegung des Schlittens (1) nur in einer Richtung entlang der Profilschiene (S) zuläßt. Um die Profilschiene (S) ohne Abstand an einem Bauwerk montieren zu können, weist das Gesperre eine Sperrklinke (6) auf, die, wenn der Handgriff in die Profilschiene eingesetzt ist, mit Fangnasen (R) in der Rückseite der Profilschiene (S) zusammenwirkt. <IMAGE>
