The mouth (22) of the suction nozzle (20) is aimed at the gap between the incoming strip (14) of material and the roller. The mouth can consist of a slot parallel to the gap (12), and can extend for the full length of the cooling roller (16), and it can be situated at the tip of a wedge-shaped housing. Plates (34,37) can be mounted on the housing rear wall (32) to divert entrained air from the strip and roller, or alternatively this can be done by nozzles discharging against their travel direction, and the rear wall can also contain a suction opening (38).

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Saugvorrichtung (10) zur Luftabsaugung im Bereich des Einlaufspaltes (12) zwischen einer Materialbahn (14) und einer Kühlwalze (16) einer Rollenoffsetdruckmaschine. Zur effektiven Reduzierung bzw. Verhinderung der Bildung eines Luftpolsters zwischen der Materialbahn und der Kühlwalze soll erfindungsgemäss die Saugvorrichtung wenigstens eine Saugdüse (20) umfassen, die eine dem Einlaufspalt zugerichtete Düsenöffnung (22) aufweist und die an ein Saugaggregat anschliessbar ist. <IMAGE>
