[origin: WO9627795A1] The present invention relates to simple indicators that allow a consumer to determine the presence or absence of particular compounds, such as cafeine and lactose, in foods and beverages. The indicators include portions which provide rapid visual indication of the presence (or absence) of the subject compounds. The indicators are sized to permit them to be carried whithin a pocket or purse allowing portability and discreet use.
