[origin: EP0813934A2] The cutting device has a holder supporting a cutting tool (12) which has an oscillation drive (14) for oscillation of a cutting blade (50), used to cut through the adhesive seal around the peripheral edge of the automobile windscreen. The holder has guide elements (48) which rest against the surface of the windscreen during the cutting process, for guiding the movement of the cutting blade at a given distance from the windscreen surface.
