Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0814046A2] The sliver can has a sprung plate (3) to support the weight of sliver within it. A retainer (9) prevents the plate (3) from moving through the spring action to hold the plate over its whole movement path within the can body (2). The retainer (9) is fitted to the plate (3), and pref. at its under side, with at least one setting unit (15) to block the plate (3) movement through the action of its spring (4).
