[origin: EP0814149A2] A method for the preparation of high bulk weight, solid washing or cleaning agents containing surfactants and builders - comprises the inclusion of 0.1-15 wt.% (with respect to the detergent product) at least one carboxylic acid alkoxylate of formula R-CO2-(AO)n-H (I) to improve detergent solubility. R = 5-21C alkyl optionally containing unsaturated bonds ; AO = 2-4C alkylene oxide ; and n = 1-60 (3-12).
