[origin: EP0814259A1] The cold start device is for an engine in which the oil from the lubricant circuit is collected in an oil vessel (28) above the induction channel (33). It is fed from there via a connecting line into the induction channel. The vessel catches injection oil from the rocker cavity (4). A device is fitted to dose a set amount of oil from the oil vessel and to supply this oil to the induction channel via a boring (30). The oil vessel may be located at least partly within the cylinder head. It may include a pump boring (12) open on one side for a pump piston (14).
