Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0814303A2] The burner plate is built up of sheet metal ribs and the edges (34) of certain ribs (28) on the side of the burner chamber are set back from the burner-side edges (36) of other ribs (26). The set-back ribs are curved round eg at right angles on the edges (34) on the side of the burner chamber and/or on the edges of the burner plate (24) remote from the burner chamber (15). A recessed rib can be arranged between two ribs not set back. The edges of the recessed ribs can be bent alternately to both sides. A perforated plate (32) whose opening diameter is smaller than the spacing between the ribs can be set on the inflow side of the burner plate.
