[origin: WO9725911A1] This invention concerns a stirring device for a container, particularly a baby bottle (1), said stirring device exhibiting a recess (8) which closes off the container opening when the container is inverted. The recess is fitted with an inner wall section (6) with inside thread (11) for screwing in the container. The drive shaft (4) of the stirrer extends through the bottom (10) of the recess. The housing consists of an outer wall section (5), the inner wall section (6) with the bottom (10) and a ring section (9) which connects the outer wall section with the inner wall section. The housing can be closed off with a bottom plate (22). The batteries (15-18) to supply electrical power to the stirrer motor (14) are placed vertically between the outer wall section (5) and the inner wall section (6).
