Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9621724A1] A human deoxycytidine kinase 2 polypeptide and DNA (RNA) encoding such polypeptide and a procedure for producing such polypeptide by recombinant techniques is disclosed. Also disclosed are methods for utilizing such polypeptide for the treatment of malignancies and viral infections. Antagonist against such polypeptides and their use as a therapeutic to treat immunodeficiency disorders are also disclosed. Diagnostic assays for detecting diseases related to mutations in the hdCK2 nucleic acid sequence and the concentration of the polypeptide encoded by such nucleic acid sequence is also disclosed.
