In order to be able to maintain the feed-water supply at a sufficient rate and monitor it reliably, the actual value (Ti) of the steam temperature and an operations-dependent reference value (Ts) are displayed together. A device for carrying out the method includes a display (22) with a temperature scale (30) on which the actual value (Ti) and a reference value (Ts) of the steam temperature can be displayed together.
