Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0815909A2] The modular unit has a support frame and a motor and gearing unit. A central support carries different carousel fittings. The module is fitted onto a ground support and is surrounded by a modular decking which fits in with adjacent carousels. The decking is in hexagonal arrays to allow close, safe spacing of carousels e.g. in a shopping mall. The module is supported on a square base plate with profiled support rails.
