Abstract (en)
According to web guide roller cleaning method and apparatus, adhesive 13 is coated on the surface of a web 3 to remove ink and other contaminants attached onto the surface of a guide roller 4 for guiding the web 3, and then the adhesive coated surface 14 of the web is brought into contact with the surface of the guide roller to adhesively transfer a ink and other contaminants layer on the guide roller to the adhesive layer of the web, thereby cleaning the surface of the guide roller. <IMAGE>
