Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0816278A1] The step has a compact step body (1) of pressure cast aluminium with tread face (12), step front (11), side bars (15) and guide rollers (2). The step body has a reinforcement insert to increase the breaking strain limit. The reinforcement insert comprises reinforcement elements (6,7,8) with a reinforcement profiled section (6) fixed crosswise on the underneath (16) of the step body. The side bars of the step have strengthening side plates (7,8) which enclose the sides. The reinforcement profiled section can be fixed on an existing transverse rib (4) to adjoin the underneath (16) of the step with its lower side.
