[origin: EP0816618A1] The room partition wall has panels each suspended on two roller carriages, one forming a coupling carriage which can be connected to a motor-driven flexible drive belt (40) running along a ceiling rail. Locking positions are provided along the belt, each cooperating with a retaining coupling (45) of the carriage. The locking positions are in the form of apertures (57) and each retaining coupling includes a sprung or spring-operated locking panel (55) in the form of a ball actuated by a spring (53) which can be adjusted to produce the maximum retaining force.
