At least one of the side plates (11,13) is of technical ceramic. One of the side plates acts as pressure plate (11) and is thicker than or is equal in thickness to an opposite side plate acting as wear plate (13). In the side surfaces of at least one side plate facing and/or turned away from the rotor (15) formations are provided for the installation of the side plates, the conveyance of a fluid and/or the influence of the vane movements and which by means of a press tool in the unfired state of the side plates can be inserted in the side surfaces. The side plates are made of aluminium oxide ceramic.

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Flügelzellenpumpe mit einem Gehäuse, in dem ein mit in etwa radialer Richtung beweglichen Flügeln versehener Rotor zwischen zwei Seitenplatten innerhalb eines Konturrings rotiert. Es ist vorgesehen, daß wenigstens eine der Seitenplatten (11,13) aus technischer Keramik besteht. <IMAGE>
