Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0816954A1] The time setting mechanism is mounted on a plate (P) and consists of a setting rod (1) which engages with a first pinion (21,24) and also actuates an angled lever (5,6) to pivot about an axis (3). The end of the angled lever (7) has an inclined portion (8). When the time setting mechanism is not in use a lay pinion (10) adjacent to the minute setting wheel (20) is held down by the angled lever (7) against the upward pressure of a blade spring (15). In use, the inclined portion (8) of the angled lever (5,6,7) allows the lay pinion (10) to rise and engage with the minute setting wheel (20).
