Abstract (en)
The pager (1) whose use is to be controlled is associated with a chip (25) card (21). When a message is delivered, units are deducted in a memory (26) of the chip card prepaid units to ensure that the messaging service provided is proportional to the use. In an alternative embodiment, the chip card has an authentication circuit (PIN, 27) for verifying that the card bearer is authorized to receive all or part of the messages contained in the pager.

Pour contrôler l'utilisation d'un messageur (1) on prévoit d'associer à ce messageur une carte (21) à puce (25) . Au moment de la délivrance d'un message, on décompte des unités dans une mémoire (26) d'unités prépayées de la carte à puce, de façon à permettre une gestion du service de messagerie proportionnelle à l'utilisation. En variante, la carte à puce possède un circuit (PIN, 27) d'authentification qui permet de vérifier que le porteur de la carte à puce est habilité à recevoir tout ou partie des messages contenus dans le messageur. <IMAGE>
