Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0817315A1] A casing comprises two halves of which the first (6) receives the outgoing cable and the second (7) acts to make the vampire connection on the incoming cable (1). The two halves are aligned by guide lugs and snap together by complementary feet (23) and channels (24). The plate has one or several pairs of electrically connected spikes (32, 33, 34), at least equal in number to the number of pairs of wires to be connected. The spikes themselves are coaxial and directed in opposite directions and are made integral with the plate during manufacture.
