Abstract (en)
[origin: WO9630128A1] The invention concerns a method and arrangement for preserving the cavities in workpieces using a molten material, for example wax, and is particularly suitable for preserving cavities in vehicle bodywork. The object of the invention is to develop the method and arrangement such that simpler servicing conditions, lower maintenance costs, reduced susceptibility to failure and adaptability to different workpiece sizes and shapes are possible. The novel features of the method and arrangement according to the invention are that a working chamber/immersion area (4) has a predeterminable operating temperature; the workpiece (W) is delivered to the working chamber in a correspondingly pre-tempered state; and at least some of the components guiding the preserving means are heated by the heating system for the working chamber (4). In a further development of the invention, an immersion frame (10), which holds the workpieces to be immersed, consists at least partially of standardized profiled structural sections and can thus be adapted over rapidly and in a variable manner.
