Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0818156A2] The helmet comprises a shell (1), a visor (2), an inner lining (4) and a ventilation unit. The unit has a ventilator (11) and a channel system (6) to feed air from the ventilator to the visor. The ventilator is located on the outside of the helmet shell. It is contained in a separate removable unit (5), which is fixed by a hook and pile fastener. The lower edge of the shell is formed by a neck piece (3) fastened to it. This has air intake openings (10), to guide the air from the separate unit into the channel system on the inside of the helmet shell.
