[origin: EP0818605A2] The machine comprises a housing which has a cylindrical chamber (11) with a rotary piston (12) and a slide (17). This engages sliding via a flat sealing surface (16b) on a similar counter surface (16a) on the piston. The counter surface is formed on the piston jacket. Both surfaces are at right angles relative to the longitudinal axis (L) of the chamber. Both sealing surfaces are for the same size, and are rectangular or square. The width of the rectangle is the same as the width of the piston. The rectangle length is approximately 1/10 to 5/10 of the piston diameter, and at least 5 mm.
