[origin: EP0818618A2] The throttle plate support has an electrical potentiometer contained within a potentiometer chamber (5) for indicating the rotary position of the throttle plate via cooperation with the shaft (2) carrying the throttle plate. Electrodes (6) of stamped out sheet metal are embedded in the plastics throttle plate support and extend between the potentiometer chamber and a side plug-in connection point (4). The ends of the electrodes projecting from the plastics at the potentiometer chamber end cooperate with a potentiometer plate (8) having a number of resistance paths cooperating with a wiper (10) secured to the throttle plate shaft.
