Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0818662A2] The monolithic wall panels (2, 22) within a high temperature furnace are held in place by an assembly (1, 21) which incorporates: (a) a ceramic anchor block (3, 23, 40, 50, 60) anchoring the monolithic furnace wall panels (10, 30); and (b) a locking arrangement (4, 5, 11, 12, 24, 25, 31, 32, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 75') holding the ceramic anchor block (3, 23, 40, 50, 60) to the furnace wall (6, 26). The novelty is that the anchor block (3, 23, 40, 50, 60) is fabricated using a high-pressure hydraulic press, and is dovetail-shaped narrowing towards the furnace wall (6, 26). The anchor block (3, 23, 40, 50, 60) incorporates one or more grooves (43, 43', 53, 53', 63) and/or gullies (44, 54, 64, 64').
