Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0818758A2] The device tests the objects using an electronic arrangement (E). The object (M) passes a first light barrier (L1), an inductive sensor (S1) and a second light barrier (L2) on an inclined path. The electronic arrangement detects the start and end time points for the object covering the first and second light barriers and derives the chord length (B) of the object from the four times using a certain algorithm. The electronic arrangement detects the inductive sensors between the first and last time points as series of discrete values and evaluates the signal resulting from processing of the series to accept or reject the object.
