Abstract (en)
There is disclosed a variable sensitivity alarm condition detector which receives inputs from several different condition sensors, and provides an output to a control unit indicative of a locally determined potential alarm condition. The sensitivity levels of the sensors are automatically switched, from the most sensitive to the least sensitive, as the sensed parameter (such as smoke concentration or temperature) increases. <IMAGE>
