[origin: WO9631135A1] The invention concerns a tobacco product for a home-made cigarette, in particular a filter cigarette. The product consists of a portion of tobacco (11) matched to the filling of a ready-made cigarette and to the cross-section and length of the tobacco cavity of a cigarette paper tube and held together by a sleeve section (10). The sleeve section (10) is either wound loosely around the tobacco portion (11) or gummed lightly, e.g. at isolated points, along its two overlapping long edges (12, 13). A tab (15) is provided on the sleeve section (10), in particular on the outer long edge (13), for removing the sleeve section (10).
