[origin: WO9727832A1] A standing aid device including a chair with a frame (14), a seat (10) and a backrest (12), said seat and said backrest being mutually pivotably about a first transverse pivot axis (18), means (52) for adjusting the angle of the backrest to the frame, and tilting means (34) for tilting the seat forwards about a second transverse axis (22) at the front of the chair, between a lowered sedentary position and a raised standing position. The means (52) for adjusting the angle of the backrest to the frame include at least one arm (50) of which one end is pivotably connected to the backrest about a third transverse axis (58), while the other end includes guide means (60, 62) for guiding the arm relative to the frame along a predetermined path.
