Abstract (en)

[origin: WO9631190A1] The proposal is for novel self-tanning agents obtained by heating dihydroxy acetone together with lecithins and possibly sterols in aqueous solution. The dihydroxy acetone is stabilised by liposomal encapsulation and, when applied to the skin, is released very uniformly over a relatively long period, thus resulting in a particularly even tanning effect.
