Abstract (en)
The fire protection system comprises at least one inflatable bag (20) which matches the internal cross-section of a room (10) to form an inflatable bulkhead. The bag is installed with an inflation device in or around the room. In the inflated state the bag completely fills out the internal cross-section of the room to provide an airtight seal by the sections pressing against the wall. Several such bulkhead devices can be provided on the floor, side walls or ceiling of the room.

Es wird ein Brandschutzsystem für einen Raum beschrieben, wobei am Boden und/oder an den Seitenwänden und/oder an der Decke des zu schützenden Raumes eine Anzahl Abschott-Einrichtungen (14) voneinander beabstandet anordenbar oder angeordnet sind. Jede Abschott-Einrichtung weist in einem öffenbaren Gehäuse (16) einen aufblasbaren Sack (20) auf. In einem Brandfall schließen benachbarte aufgeblasene Säcke (20) den Brand (25) ein und dichten den Brand (25) gegen Luftzufuhr ab. <IMAGE>
