Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0819447A2] The fire protection system comprises at least one inflatable bag (20) which matches the internal cross-section of a room (10) to form an inflatable bulkhead. The bag is installed with an inflation device in or around the room. In the inflated state the bag completely fills out the internal cross-section of the room to provide an airtight seal by the sections pressing against the wall. Several such bulkhead devices can be provided on the floor, side walls or ceiling of the room.
