[origin: EP0819506A2] The saw device has an input conveyor (1) with a centring device (8) and a saw fitting (3). The centring device has two roll devices (9,10) able to move to a side position against the timber (2) under prestressing in the feed path of the input conveyor. The rolls are driven synchronously with the conveyor. They have a surface to transport the timber without slippage.
