Abstract (en)
[origin: EP0819521A2] The printer comprises a surface finishing device (33,34,35) by one or more modules (25,26) along which sheets (2) are transported. It has two conveyor elements (27-30) rotate at the same speed and grippers which seize the leading edge of the sheet so that each sheet is supplied to and delivered from the module during rotation of the grippers corresponding to the printing cycle. The grippers of the first conveyor are mounted on at least one gripper arm and the sheets are freely guided by guide elements (52,53). The grippers of the second conveyor element are mounted on at least one gripper arm with the sheets resting on rotating curved support elements which are mounted in the circumferential direction between the gripper arms.
