Abstract (en)
This knife pack protectively encloses the cutting edge, leaving the handle free to be gripped. It has front and rear sheets, overlapping the blade on each side. These overlapping regions are adhered together. The end next to the knife handle has a non-adherent grip section, to help in tearing the pack open. Only the rear sheet is self adhesive, in such a way that it can be pulled away from the blade (2) and front sheet, leaving no residue. The front sheet is a transparent plastic sheet of thickness 120-250 mu m. Preferably, front and rear sheets are clear plastic, printable and if appropriate, coloured. The front sheet is a biaxially-extended polypropylene sheet.

Verpackung für Messer, welche die Schneide schützend umfaßt und den Griff zum Anfassen frei läßt, mit einer vorderen und einer hinteren Folie, welche beidseits die Schneide überlappend abdecken, wobei die überlappenden Bereiche der Folien aufeinander verklebt sind, und wobei die dem Griff des Messers zugewandten Enden der Folien einen nichtklebenden Anfasser zum Aufreißen der Verpackung aufweisen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß lediglich die hintere Folie (1A) derart selbstklebend ausgerüstet ist, daß sie ein rückstandsfreies Abziehen von der Schneide (2) und der vorderen Folie (1B) erlaubt, während die vordere Folie (1B) eine transparente Konststoff-Folie mit einer Dicke von 120 250 µm ist. <IMAGE>
