[origin: EP0819623A1] The appliance has two carrier arms for bulk refuse containers, on a lifting or tipping device. The arms (10a,b) are longitudinally adjustable, eg. telescopic. Each arm has a pivot element (20a,b) and at least one telescopic element (30a,b), which moves longitudinally on a guide rail positioned on the pivot element. Each arm is fastened pivoted about a vertical axis, on the side of the lifting frame (3a,b) of the lifting or tipping device. The telescopic element contains a drive element to move it relative to the pivot element, when this is moved.
