Abstract (en)

[origin: EP0819800A2] The simple shell-shaped metal cladding (1) forms with a rearside inlay (2) a ceiling component. The inlay consists of a mineral fibre plate or a foam plate and serves as sound insulation (together with constructive measures on the cladding, such as e.g. a hole network) and possibly for fire protection. The inlay is coated with an intumescence mass (3) at least on one side, and preferably on all sides. By virtue of the properties of t is mass, a plate is produced with a high fire protection factor (fire resistance class F 30 and higher).
